Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg joined the Talented and Gifted Magnet School, and volunteers for a day of service on Dr. Martin Luther King, Junior’s birthday.

The group planted a community garden with fresh fruits and vegetables in Oak Cliff, a food desert.  Zuckerberg wrote via Facebook, that Texas is the first state he’s visting as part of his Year in Travel challenge. And service events like this are a great reflection of Dr. King’s spirit and his life’s work.

We agree. Giving back is always in style.
