This holiday season patients at Children’s Hospital Philadelphia have some extra warmth  to look forward to: superhero socks and t-shirts.  Customers were asked to add a pair of mystery socks to their order, and for every pair purchased, a second was donated to the hospital.

“We are very happy to announce that the CHOP sock drive was a success,” said Brian Welch, co-owner  of SuperHeroStuff. “We hope that through this donation we will be able to bring a little more joy to the children’s holiday season.”

The donation of 1,525 pairs of socks and 575 t-shirts were delivered Dec 15. by CEO Jon Belzer. Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is the nation’s first hospital devoted exclusively to the care of children. The sock drive has ended, however you may make a donation online.
