There are times in our lives where no one is trying to kill our dream, our friends are actually happy for us, right? However their dreams aren’t going according to plans, or they have no dreams so to speak. So they call you, and tell you all about the extra drama unfolding in their lives. They talk about the hours of nothingness happening all around them, and how they have no hope. You encourage them to step out on faith and all they can do is succumb to the gloom and doom of their lives. So let them, because it’s your job to ignore the extra drama. Not because you don’t care, but you are on a path of excellence and you can’t afford to be sucked into chaos. Like furniture, you need it, right? But a toilet doesn’t belong in a kitchen. It has a category, just like people. This is the time in your life where you need uplifting people going the same direction as you. And you can’t get rid of the toilet friends, because we all need a toliet, but you can’t let them overflow your life either.. So what do you do? Start choosing wisely. You are going up and although you don’t plan to become sucked into their wind tunnel of drama, it can happen to you. So just stay out of it. Just think of Ruth and Orpah from the bible;. Their husbands were dead, and their mother in law was crying. A decision had to be made in this crazy emotional state Ruth 1:.4 “Then they wept aloud again; and Orpah kissed her mother-in-law [goodbye], but Ruth clung to her. ” Ruth could have stayed with Orpah and cried, and held her hand, but instead she moved on. And nothing ever mighty is mentioned about Orpha or the town she stayed in again. Even Naomi tried to get Ruth to change her mind . 15 Then Naomi said, “Look, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her gods; turn back and follow your sister-in-law.” 16 But Ruth said, “Do not urge me to leave you or to turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go, and where you lodge, I will lodge. Your people will be my people, and your God, my God. 17 Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord do the same to me [as He has done to you], and more also, if anything but death separates me from you.” 18 When Naomi saw that Ruth was determined to go with her, she said nothing more.” You have to be determined to push forward. As Naomi mentions a few verses later, “ I left full [with a husband and two sons], but the Lord has brought me back empty.” Ruth 1:21 Did you know empty is the perfect place? God can do a lot with empty! But it’s not enough to be empty, you have to also be walking in the right direction. Ruth walked over `100 miles to leave the land she knew for a new opportunity and it paid off big time..
The bite of the day is this: God will send you the right person to follow behind. Your job is to choose wisely.
