Encourage Yourself

Never worry about other people taking your position because what God has for you is only for you!

“A mans gift makes room for him and brings him before great men.” Proverbs 18: 16

“I used to think a promotion came from working hard, and saying yes to everything my boss asked of me. And boy was I so wrong! Truthfully, all of my promotions have always come during a time when I worked less and never would’ve expected them!  When you put God first, he will put you in the perfect position before you can even ask for it.

What do you do in the mean time?  Starting preparing for the promotion by encouraging yourself.

Encouragement goes a long way. Don’t just say I can do this and God’s promises are true. Go find scriptures that say those words, and meditate on them.  It really helps. When you remind yourself of God’s faithfulness through His word, it renews your mind. Remember: No matter how you feel, God hears you. He is near and has already answered your prayers. Make a list of encouragement scriptures related to your situation.

Here are some of my favorites:

“The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands.” Deuteronomy 28:12

I love the Lord, because He hears [and continues to hear] My voice and my supplications (my pleas, my cries, my specific needs). Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I will call on Him as long as I live.Psalm 116:1-2 AMP

“As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘just what you have spoken in My hearing I will most certainly do to you;” Numbers 14:28

You are blessed, God hears you and He will do the words He hears you say. So don’t be snared by the words in your mouth, speak life, speak blessings over yourself and your situation . God’s word doesn’t lie, so don’t give up until you have the promises of God!
