Ever wonder how to do some of the style you see on the runway? Well go behind- the- scenes with me as a BOS Insider for MBFW and learn some tricks of the trade. Impressed by Rachel Antonoff Spring 2013 show I called up my friend Jenny Balding for Cutler/Redken Salon to ask her how they achieved this look.
Jenny Balding-Lead Stylist at Cutler/Redkin Salon in NYC– to get some insider information on this hairstyle. Well Rachel Antonoff’s has a lot of geometric prints in her collection, so we wanted to enhance that with the hair by creating a strong sleek shape. Country club girl gone a little bad was the inspiration for the hair.We wanted to give a little more hard edge to the look.
Here’s how you can achieve this look at home
Step by Step:
Create a clean off center part.
Apply Redken Align 12 Protective Straightening Lotion throughout hair.
Blow-dry hair really smooth and straight.
Use a hot flat iron to keep it clean, smooth and flawless.
Take the left side and sweep back into the middle of the nape and use a small elastic, which will give the illusion of an undercut.
